Description

Please apply ​this patch to pine-4.64 so that it can display messages correctly in UTF-8 locales. Right now, it displays (for example) this: 

The following text is in the "ISO-8859-1" character set.
Your display is set for the "UTF-8" character set.
Some characters may be displayed incorrectly.

and indeed, invalid UTF-8 is sent to the screen instead of such characters. Russian KOI8-R-encoded mail messages are displayed as a sequence of "invalid character" boxes because of this. The patch completely fixes the issue.

This patch has no negative effects in non-UTF-8 locales, and, according to ​this resolution, has to be applied unconditionally (OTOH, with Nano, we already broke this resolution).
