By the time I tried to update anduin, IM 6.8.2-8 was no longer available. I did update anduin to IM 6.8.2-9. The book's version/md5sum should be updated.

Meh, it simply isn't worth updating when they are releasing it every day. You can get all the tarballs from here ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/multimedia/graphics/ImageMagick/
