Description

Fix currency script for lxqt packages.

downloads.lxqt.org is down.

Perhaps https://github.com/lxde/lxqt/releases/ is better.

Summary: Script for lxqy packages - liblxqt, etcScript for lxqt packages - liblxqt, etc

Yesterday, I have reported the server failure to upstream on lxde list and on their irc channel. They said they would look at it. Don't know anything since then.

link https://github.com/lxde/lxqt/releases/latest returns an html file containing the version of the latest release...

Yes, I looked at github last night and it does show 0.10 as the latest. Unfortunately is does not mention the latest for libsysstat-0.3.1 or libqtxdg-1.3.0. The link for the download of .tar.gz or .zip files is basically empty. There are some files, but all the directories are empty.

The only way I could see to get the files from upstream right now is with a git clone.

The current files are on the files mirrors.

I could not find your message on the lxde list. Do you have a url? I can ask again. Right now the book's lxqt chapter is broken because none of the packages are downloadable. Of course they are on the blfs file mirrors, but we have no visibility to any updates.

DNS says downloads.lxqt.org is at 87.98.215.150, but that site is dead.

Hmmm. Don't know why I wrote "on lxde-list"... I only reported on irc. They said they could not make the release (0.11 is pending as far as I understand) while the site is down. The list has been silent since then. I'll connect to irc again today, and let you know.

They said on irc that the only thing to do about this server was to wait. They gave a link similar to the above to test the release: https://github.com/lxde/lxqt-panel/releases.atom. Replacing lxqt-panel with libsysstat gives the version for that package.

I can replace the links with those from github in the book. But I fear I cannot help with the script.

And wget downloads 0.10.0.tar.gz (iwthout the name). We'd have to give instructions for renaming...

Let's just wait. I don't understand why it is taking so long to get a server up. but it is their project.

In BLFS Chapter 1 we describe how to get source packages so that is enough for now.

Milestone: 7.10hold

Moving to hold. When upstream gets their act together and puts the downloads site back up, we will probably be able to mark this as overcomebyevents.

Resolution: overcomebyevents
Status: assignedclosed

Site appears to back up. Closing.
