E2fsprogs-1.41.2

I downloaded 1.41.2 and it builds with the current instructions. I see no problems. All checks pass.

I'm trying to be helpful here, so that perhaps you can be taken a bit more seriously. Your comment above does nothing to influence an Editor to update the package.

In fact, a comment like that does more harm to your credibility than it does help it.

You should consider instead of just blindly saying "UPGRADE", to do something that is believable. For instance, if you had said:

"I've built the new DJ book and then updated the e2fsprogs package and everything appears to be okay as far as I can tell. I created a filesystem and things appear to work as anticipated."

This would go a lot further than just blurting out some message in ALLCAPS. I think you have the potential to help this project, but your method of delivery is so poor that as best as I can tell, everyone is just dismissing your ideas.

Please consider being more technical and informative when you make suggestions.

What about the patch that is in DJ's current book? You need to address whether or not it is needed.

I've looked at the source to the patch and a non-exhaustive check indicates that that changes are in the new version.

The patch says:

Initial Package Version: 4.7.25
Upstream Status: From Upstream
Origin: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/download.php?group_id=2406&atid=102406&file_id=291851&aid=2088537
Description:  Fixes linking errors with blkid and fsck.

Since there are no linking errors, I'd say that it is incorporated into the new version.

Fixed in r8659.
