The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the release of LFS 6.1.1. This release includes fixes for all known errata since LFS-6.1 was released 4 months ago.
LFS 6.1.1-pre2 Released

The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the second pre-release of LFS 6.1.1. In addition to the fixes already made in LFS-6.1.1-pre1, this release addresses a bug in Glibc that prevents some programs (including OpenOffice.org) from running.
This being a test release, we would appreciate you taking the time to try it out and report any bugs you find in it to the LFS development team at lfs-dev AT linuxfromscratch DOT org.
The final release is planned for Wednesday 30th November.
LFS 6.1.1-pre1 Released

The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the first pre-release of LFS 6.1.1. This release includes fixes for all known errata since LFS-6.1 was released 4 months ago.
This being a test release, we would appreciate you taking the time to try it out and report any bugs you find in it to the LFS development team at lfs-dev AT linuxfromscratch DOT org.
The final release is planned for Saturday 26th November.
LFS 6.1 Released

The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the release of LFS 6.1. This release includes a large number of package upgrades (including Linux-2.6.11.12, GCC-3.4.3, Glibc-2.3.4) and security fixes (including the recently disclosed zlib vulnerability). It also includes a large amount of editorial work on the explantory material throughout the book, improving both the clarity and accuracy of the text.
