6The Analog Real-time Synthesizer (<acronym>aRts</acronym>) provides
7software that can simulate a complete "modular analog synthesizer" on your
8computer. It creates sounds and music using small modules like oscillators for
9creating waveforms, various filters, modules for playing data on your speakers,
10mixers, and faders. You can build a complete setup with the <acronym>GUI
11</acronym> of the system, using the modules - generators, effects and output -
12connected to each other.</para>

15for KDE, however it can be installed as a standalone package.
