    <title>Installation of gst-ffmpeg</title>

    <para>Install <application>gst-ffmpeg</application> by running the following
    commands:</para>

    <title>Command Explanations</title>

    <para><option>--with-system-ffmpeg</option>: This switch allows you to use the
    system libav libraries from a previously installed <application>ffmpeg</application>.
    This would usually give you a more up to date version of this code, now that
    <application>ffmpeg</application> has frequent releases, and significantly
    reduces the time and space required to build this package.  However, it is not
    recommended by the <application>gst-ffmpeg</application> developers and it
    may break the testsuite.</para>
