Move or remove some punctuation just before the right bracket

In both British and American English, the punctuation should be appear
within parentheses iff. belongs to the parenthetical text, i.e. the text
is a full sentence.

For examples:

This is different from punctuation vs. quotes. (In American English both
punctuations and commas always go inside quotation marks.)

And:

This is different from punctuation vs. quotes (in American English both
punctuations and commas always go inside quotation marks).
