Starting smbd will failed as long as you do not have a user nobody. Add the user
nobody and Samba will start:

  groupadd nobody
  useradd -d /dev/null -c ""nobody user for Samba"" -g nobody -s /bin/false nobody

nobody is added in the BLFS Book when installing another package, but if I do
not install it I don't have nobody.

Another Problem:
This line in install manual will fail:
chmod 644 /usr/lib/samba/libsmbclient.a
Because /usr/lib/samba/libsmbclient.a is not present.
Maybe copy it with:
cp bin/libsmbclient.a /usr/lib/samba
