A few days ago somebody on a TL list reported that printing with
LuaLaTeX was now proken, although apparently working in pdflatex.
I was  able to point him to a similar issue at Arch (he was on
Endeavor and did not know when printing had lst worked).

Turns out this is a Cairo-1.18.2 problem, and there is now a patch.

where the patch has been tested but could not be uploaded to Arch
because of perms.

I'm merely reporting this because I don't yet have a 12.2 system,
which anyway would still be on 1.18.0, and nor do I have a printer.
But ISTR that one editor uses LuaLaTeX and might perhaps have a need
for hardcopy at some point.

Note that this seems to affect Evince as well when printing certain PDFs. The error message shows up as ""universal filter failed"""	defect	closed	normal	12.3	BOOK	git	medium	fixed
