I laid out an update scheme in ticket #22812, where it would go from `26.1.3 -> 26.1.<last> -> 2<new-major>.<new-minor>.3 ...`.

In other words, we go from the last bugfix release of a major/minor to the middle bugfix of a new major/minor, then go to the last bugfix release of that major/minor, before repeating the cycle. This should hopefully make things less chaotic."	enhancement	closed	normal	13.1	BOOK	git	medium	fixed
