The unit need not be installed from the tarball. In the source tree for Wicd, is other/wicd.service that can be installed, and then the activated with the 'systemctl enable wicd' instruction.

Status: newassigned

It looks like the service files are installed by default. Will update accordingly.

Resolution: fixed
Status: assignedclosed

The service scripts for systemd are added automatically. Did several touchups and for systemd specified 'systemctl enable wicd'.

Fixed at revision 18837.
