Introduction to GPhoto2

Gphoto2 is a ready to use set of digital camera software applications. It supports more than 600 cameras. Of particular interest is it's ability to facilitate downloading of images from cameras that don't support mounting as storage.

Installation of GPhoto2

Build GPhoto2 with:

   	./configure --prefix=/usr &&
        make

The package does not come with a test suite. As the root user, install GPhoto2 with:

   	make install

Command Explanations

The installation is a straightforward CMMI (Configure, make, make install) - no explanaition is needed.
