<title>Installation of Patch</title>

<para>Prepare Patch for compilation.  The preprocessor flag
<parameter>-D_GNU_SOURCE</parameter> is only needed on the PowerPC
platform, on other architectures it can be left it out:</para>

<screen><userinput>CPPFLAGS=-D_GNU_SOURCE ./configure --prefix=/tools</userinput></screen>

<para>Compile the program:</para>

<para>This package does not come with a test suite.</para>
