    difference between test script output and the expected output.  Any
    output from <command>diff</command> (prefixed with
    <computeroutput>&lt;</computeroutput> and
    <computeroutput>&gt;</computeroutput>) indicates a test failure, unless
    there is a message saying the difference can be ignored.
