1813	Locales should be specified in uppercase with canonical dashes	dbn.lists@…	bdubbs@…	"It is not entirely clear on the Bash Shell Startup files page [1] that you really want to specify the charset of your locale in uppercase with the canonical dashes.  Alexander explained that some programs such as Xorg [2] expect this format.  Right now the page just says that some applications like Xlib won't recognize your locale if you don't follow the instructions.  It really needs one more sentence that the uppercase/canonical dash format is important.
