2202	Warning about LFS and 64-bit systems	Chris Staub	bdubbs@…	"The LFS book and/or website needs a more prominent explanation that the LFS book does not work on 64-bit systems without some amount of customization. There is something about this on the ""Download"" page of the LFS site, but that is nowhere near enough. I believe there should be something right on the main LFS page, or at least in the FAQs, explaining that LFS only works on 32-bit systems, and that anyone who wants something else can either try testing and developing a 64-bit LFS book or use Cross-LFS.

There also need to be additional notes on the ""Read Online"" page, possibly just copying what's already there on the ""Download"" page (""Note: This version of the book requires an existing 32-bit version of Linux..."") and the Livecd download page. The 64-bit livecd does already say that it has an ""unofficial"" 64-bit book, but it must also be noted that this book hasn't been updated for some time and is known to be incomplete (no boot loader, for one thing)."	task	closed	normal	6.4	Book	SVN	normal	fixed
