One quick other thing, here. In chapter 9, when we `touch $LFS/etc/lfs-3.3` wouldn't it be better to `echo ""3.3"" > $LFS/etc/lfs`? I'm just thinking that might be easier to identify the version in one file, all across the lfs versions, than in a different file for each book.
