So the error is actually in xz, is known

and has been fixed

It amounts to a sed:
sed '/mf\.buffer = NULL/a next->coder->mf.size = 0;' \
   -i src/liblzma/lz/lz_encoder.c

It should be fixed in next xz version.

Recompiling xz with this sed allows dovecot tests to pass..
