I have Debian 3.0 and while i was trying to compile the binutils package, using
the command: [ make LDFLAGS=""-all-static"" ] i got error. After i tried using the
[ make CC=""gcc -static -s"" ] command and i found it succesful. I'm using gcc 3.3.1.
