 The Linux From Scratch community is pleased to announce the second pre-release of LFS 6.1.1. In addition to the fixes already made in LFS-6.1.1-pre1, this release addresses a bug in Glibc that prevents some programs (including OpenOffice.org) from running.

 This being a test release, we would appreciate you taking the time to try it out and report any bugs you find in it to the LFS development team at lfs-dev AT linuxfromscratch DOT org.

 The final release is planned for Wednesday 30th November.

It also includes a large amount of editorial work on the explantory material throughout the book, improving both the clarity and accuracy of the text.
