It works for me. We do have a couple of entries in the book's (LFS) tidy.conf that I had to comment out:
#hide-endtags: no #drop-font-tags: no
I also note that we have two entries for newline:
newline: CRLF newline: LF
We can probably remove the first. The first in not in the BLFS conf file.

Note that this version is incompatible with the books. When I made my VM for LFS work running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, version 5.6.0 was present and would prevent the book from making.
