Upstream is in the process of releasing a new library, which implements the full POSIX behavior for threads (linux doesn't, and glibc only does partially).

Hard to tell: not sure the maintainer will signal when a release is stable (or even if he knows when it is)... Normally, the new library itself is completed, but there was an issue with the pkg-config file in the previous release.
