One of the fixed bug reports for this sounds as if it should solve it. Current instructions (and patch, if you use it) should work. After looking at the Release Note and before I saw your comment I had thought this was mostly a thunderbird issue for attachments from windows (already fixed) and unlikely to affect BLFS builders :)
I've got a spare machine I will build this on, but no URLs which are known to not open.

Well, this builds fine with the existing instructions, but I cannot test the fix (google just finds lots of explanations about %20, the only link I tried which had an example was in a query and that already worked in 68.4.1). Will drop it in.

I can confirm that this version of Firefox fixes the problem! Thank you :)
I have a bit of a problem. I can't open any web pages that have spaces in their URL bars. That includes PDF documents, and anything with a %20 (and universities love these since they use Blackboard most of the time as a class management system!).
It looks like this version contains a fix for that, and that it may have been broken as far back as 66.
