It seems avaliable at https://download.gnome.org/sources/gspell/1.8/gspell-1.8.3.tar.xz
Is ftp.gnome.org deprecated? (Not sure.)

I reached out to the maintainers for gspell, NetworkManager, and libsecret as documented in the DOAP files in the tarballs yesterday, and they informed me that it was a mirroring problem

Replying to renodr:

I would prefer to wait to see if they can fix it. We use ftp.gnome.org for over 150 packages and updating the currency scripts (as well as blfs) for a new location would take a lot of time/work.

I agree, although for BLFS, it would be extremely easy to update all of the URLs. Every GNOME-releated package uses an entity in gnome.ent for setting the GNOME HTTP and GNOME FTP URLs:
<!ENTITY gnome-download-http "http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources"> <!ENTITY gnome-download-ftp "ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources">
I would much prefer for them to fix it though.

This packages is now at ftp.gnome.org.
Now it's now uploaded to ftp.gnome.org yet, and the package on gitlab.gnome.org lacks
configure
script.
