Description

The relevant XML file isBLFS/part2/chapter2a/inputrc.xmlPossibly give a basic inputrc and some information on how it works - not TOO much detail; just enough to get users started.

This follow-up is two-fold

1) I needed to do this to test a change I made to bugzilla's email parameters

2) In case it's not been discussed yet, most if not all the valid inputrc options, variables, values, etc. are documented in the Bash man page. That is, if it was decided to use bash's built-in readline library. There is a possibility to download a dedicated readline lib from ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/readline and tell Bash to link against this one. I'm not sure if all that's in the bash man page still applies in that case.
