Description ¶
From ticket LFS ticket 2033 (http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/2033):
As directed in http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/6/15/306, I blame LFS for not having a documented way to create initramfs for root-on-dm and similar situations. Right now, it is impossible to dual-boot Windows and LFS on fakeraid cards that require dmraid.
Bruce & I think this is more suitable for BLFS than LFS, and can be addressed by pointing folks at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/initramfs.txt.

Or better yet, the hint that actually addresses dmraid (and a few other issues). Unfortunately it's not in the hints repo yet:
Did you check lately?

Hints for initramfs have been added recently to BLFS SVN. Marking as fixed.
