Description (last modified by ) ¶
New version. (9.0.1 fixes CVE-2010-3433).
Still needs the sed to find the stylesheets, for those who insist on regenerating the documentation.
Contrary to what I originally wrote here, the shipped docs are now installed by 'make install-docs'.
Builds with LFS-6.7 and openssl-1.0.0a.

Replying to randy@…:
Does anyone know about ABI/API changes in the 9.0 release. BLFS is using the 8.3.x release, 8.4.x update was released over a year ago, and 9.0 is bleeding edge (one month old).
See http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.0/static/release-9-0.html - particularly E.2.2.
Wearing my pedant's hat, I don't think that BLFS *uses* 8.3 (unless there are databases within the LFS site that I'm not aware of), the book merely provides instructions for 8.3.

I would love to hear anyone's experience using 8.4 and 9.0 in a real world environment with PostgreSQL linked to other packages.
