Required by NetworkManager-0.9.10.0 to build "nmtui", a new curses-based client for easier console operation. Program nmtui is a connection editor. May be used to edit, delete or add connections.

In NM page, it would be included as recommended dependency, adding the switch --with-nmtui to configure. 

Newt is a programming library for color text mode, widget based user interfaces.
Newt can be used to add stacked windows, entry widgets, checkboxes, radio buttons,
labels, plain text fields, scrollbars, etc., to text mode user interfaces. Newt is
based on the S-Lang library.
