The latest such release is poppler-0.26.5.tar.xz, released on September 27, 2014:

The book has been updated tp poppler-0.30.0 but we are still investigating 'make check' issues. See ticket #6027

I have made a major modification in this package instructions, trying to make them more clear to the user.
Please read it and if it is not aproved, I will revert to older form.
Also, any comments to help clarifying the instructions are much welcome.
Leaving open until tomorrow, waiting for eventual feedback.
Possibly fixed at r14412.
