About the same here.
Totem was running, because was just installed and some of the grilo plugins had been tested. But later, it was closed and worked agin, this time the DVD was already in the closed tray.
A DVD was inserted and soon after the tray was closed, a dialog from LXDE asked what I wanted to do. At the same time, a DVD icon appeared in the centre of a square, with the DVD title under it. Clicking, the DVD plays the top menu (image and sound).
However it is not accepting the click on any of the menu options.
I'll try to solve this and continue the discussion in the dev thread.

I updated the book at revision 15784, but I'm not sure it works completely. The interface is strange and I can't figure out how to play a dvd.
