Consider including gstreamer-vaapi too. It's now maintained as part of gstreamer project.

What does it do and what uses it?

Adds vaapi decoding capabilities (hardware decoder) to apps that use gstreamer. Anything that uses gstreamer initializes vaapi automatically when gstreamer-vaapi is present and vaapi is set up on the system.
