Description

New minor version. IMPORTANT!

3.20.3 - Aug 19, 2016
=========================

Hello there!

So we will stop using a redirect from gis.gnome.org to Mapbox tile server.
Instead we will attempt to download a service.json file from gis.gnome.org.
This file will tell us where our third-party services are. Starting with
tile services. This is for two reasons. 1) It is much faster and 2) Mapbox
didn't like the redirect approach.

Changes since 3.20.2

- Download a service.json file to get tile server URI among other things.
- Use GtkClutter for the attribution logo, to get transparency.

Hi!

Sorry to bother you again!

I just release updates for Maps, down to the 3.10-branch:

I release the following:
3.21.90
3.20.3
3.18.4
3.16.4
3.14.4
3.12.4
3.10.4

This update provides a massive speedup from the last versions. By not
using redirect anymore, instead downloading a service file that tells
us where third-party services are located. This is also something
Mapbox requested. Having a redirect did not sit well with them. So
please update!

Another note, if you are the maintainer of GNOME Maps for your
distribution please consider maintaining libchamplain as well. And try
to take the latest version possible. This will help your Maps version
a lot. The next release of libchamplain (0.12.4, unreleased as of now)
will provide speed ups to all versions released today by allowing more
concurrent HTTP requests. So please update if your distro allows!

Thank you
Jonas
