Description
There's a patch in the patches repo which was created by comparing glibc-2.5 release with the glibc-2.5 cvs branch. It includes several bug fixes, and I suggest LFS uses it.

Matthew, I rediffed against the glibc-2_5-branch the other day. The patch is large, but there haven't been any commits in about a month. So, maybe it's pretty close to a pseudo-2.5.1. I put it here:

Thanks Dan. Would you mind committing that to the patches repo please? Again, although it's a large patch, there's a lot of stuff like timezone, translation and testcases in there that bulk it up somewhat.

Well, the message didn't go through because the patch is too big. But it's in the repo.

Please test it as I just diffed and haven't gotten a chance to build it yet.

Thanks Dan. I'll be testing this over the next couple of days along with the GCC upgrade and DB patch. Should be in a position to commit the changes on Saturday, all going well.
OK, we need to deal with this for 6.3 as I can't see anything in the glibc mail archives of immediate plans for a 2.5.1 release. While I'm not going to pretend to grok libc internals, the details in the Changelog suggest the patch is fairly conservative.
