There's a report that this one doesn't boot, but not yet confirmed whether this is a 2.6.24->2.6.24.1 regression (​http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0802.1/0545.html). 2.6.24 boots for me, so I'll test 2.6.24.1 now.

This is what I now have on my T60:

root@rhea:~$ uname -a
Linux rhea 2.6.24.1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Feb 9 12:45:11 CET 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

It works/boots well.

Now 2.6.24.2. Release announcement at ​http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0802.1/1276.html. It fixes CVE-2008-0600 - a local root exploit in vmsplice().
