Destination directory fixups

I've attached a patch that fixes up some destination directories so we don't get /usr/usr/lib and /usr/etc.

Marty, I couldn't replicate your problem of duplicate directories, following the book's instructions. Could you confirm that you can reproduce it without the patch please? Thanks.

You're right, the DESTDIR= SBINDIR=/sbin achieve the same result.
