LFS-3.2-RC1 is going to be released this coming weekend if all goes according to plan and lfs-3.2 final two weeks after that. So I'm not going to fix up the 3.1 lfs-commands tarball but instead I'll just make sure that the lfs-commands file for 3.2 is complete and includes the missing item you mentioned.
I'm going to mark this bug report WONTFIX. This doesn't mean it's not going to be fixed, but merely that the existing 3.1 tarball isn't going to be updated.
