Description
New version. No release announcement as yet, but there's a report that the version wasn't bumped before the release was tagged at http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2012-10/msg00305.html, but a quick build suggests that the tools correctly advertise themselves as 2.23, so this should be OK for the book.

We'll hold off on this until they fix the packaging issues in 2.23.1.
