I've started a build with this update applied. I'm happy for it to go in as long as it doesn't affect BLFS. What package(s) do you think this might affect? I'll see about prioritizing the build of those once LFS is done.

I'm not really sure. General comments are: "I think it can break compilation in many other software that use autopoint.", "xgettext -L Lua -o - aborting.lua will abort with no error reported.", "msgfmt -c unixpr.pot; unixpr.pot:254: keyword "It" unknown; unixpr.pot:254:3: syntax error".

Looking at the changes, it's not a large change and shouldn't affect much, if anything, in LFS. There is one possible change I see that may affect BLFS.
Should this go in 7.4 or wait until after that release?
