Upstream have again changed their Makefile. I get: 

make[2]: *** No rule to make target 'install-static', needed by 'install'.  Stop.

The sed needs to be changed to: 

sed -i '/install -m.*STACAPLIBNAME/d' libcap/Makefile

Release notes for 2.42

  • Build modification to support cross-compilation flags through environment variables
  • Support install-shared and install-static make targets
  • Closed a potential (not reproduced) issue with "libcap/psx" Go package and errno, also added test.
  • Documentation updates for "libcap/psx" and "libcap/cap" packages.
