Description
According to the LFS book, it should always be y now. And if we don't remove the .la files Cairo will FTBFS in BLFS.

Moved to internal parameters at 0861416. Note that for BLFS, it is still visible. But I think it is better if it appears in BLFS, because the generated code is not what is in the book, so the user can remove it and put is own code. A better approach would be to be able to take removal instructions from a file, but I think it should be into another ticket. Closing now.

Maybe move it to advanced parameters, so that we keep the possibility to set it to n, but it is hidden to normal users.
