#1981 | wontfix | dillo-0.8.6
Description |
Version increment to 0.8.6 The author claims that is the last gtk1 based release (the next release will be based in the fltk toolkit). Even in this release there is a dependency to fltk2 to build a fltk gui for downloads. This can be disabled with --disable-dlgui. If however someone needs this option a fltk2 snapsot required (fltk-2.0.x-r5111 is fine),along with a sed to configure (icorrectly is looking for fltk-config). sed -i 's/fltk-config/fltk2-config/' configure No support for UTF-8 since gtk1 doesn't support it. However and just for the record (obviously a wiki stuff) there is an unofficial patch that enables display of pages with Japanese,Chinese, Korean, French,Greek and other character sets. Additionaly there is support for tabs among some other features. For more information about the patch in the next link. http://teki.jpn.ph/pc/software/index-e.shtml |

#2226 | fixed | remove Dillo
Description |
The dillo-dev mailing list is silent, except for this message that confirms that the project is dead: http://lists.auriga.wearlab.de/pipermail/dillo-dev/2006-November/003146.html Since Dillo also has locale related issues (hardcodes iso-8859-1 fonts), and depends on the obsolete GTK+1 toolkit, I see no reason to keep it in the book. |
