I'm going through the list...

Now I notice:

1. Many packages seem requiring --libdir /usr/lib or they use /usr/lib64.
2. Mutter needs -Dprofiler=false.

3. evolution-data-server needs libical to be built with -DGOBJECT_INTROSPECTION=true and -DICAL_GLIB_VAPI=true.

4. gnome-shell need -Dextensions_tool=false.
5. After upgrading from g-s-d-3.32 to 3.34 some old files in /etc/xdg/autostart/org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.* and /usr/libexec/gsd-* need to be removed. (Use ls -l to inspect the date.)

Not sure where to report, but it looks like I might do that here: folks (no update ATM) does not build with new vala: ​https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/folks/commit/78b24b8cb01e27e352de2aca93934833bcb412b8

The following sed allows building:
