The version in the book (2.3.22) fails to build with the book's version of gmime, because it needs gmime-2.0.pc and we create gmime-2.4.pc.
More new dependencies than I can shake a stick at, I thought it required gtkhtml and libesmtp but I'm no longer sure : I eventually found a surfeit of --with switches, e.g. --with-nm=no.
Builds on LFS-6.7, not tested.
