Version increment, a copy of the package was put in LFS FTP conglomeration. Release notes available @ http://dev.perl.org/perl5/news/2002/07/18/580ann/ [btw, I couldn't find a specific perl package bug in the db.. so I created this new one, boo]

There is a small problem in the test suite with latest perl:
t/op/magic...........................Dying on warning: Can't exec "ps": No such file or directory at op/magic.t line 302. ok
Obviously because procps hasn't been installed yet. Interestingly, this doesn't fail the test suite.
