Description ¶
For consistency purposes, since we're moving network-manager-applet to Networking Utilities, we should probably move notification-daemon to system utilites. Similar to network-manager-applet, this isn't used in a GNOME session, although it is hosted at the GNOME website. This is similar to other libraries such as GTK+ which is needed elsewhere. notification-daemon is primarily used in other GTK+ environments such as LXDE and XFCE.
Since it's a daemon and is used to show notifications through 'notify-send' (Mozilla build systems for packages such as Firefox, Thunderbird, and Seamonkey will use this to show that the build completed or failed for example), I'm going to move it to System Utilities.
Bruce, the currency script for the GNOME Desktop chapter will need to be adjusted because the end of the chapter will no longer be notification-daemon after this is complete.
