OK, I've installed this on one client, and then on my server, and got a lease at the first attempt. Normally I don't bother with the server anymore (my hub usually gives out a lease before the server manages, and vim gets very annoyed if the desktop address changes whilst I'm editing a file over nfs), but it seems to work ok.

Will measure it on a 7.8 system.
