The --enable-gtk2-dependency configure switch does not prevent gtk3 from trying to install a gtk-update-icon-cache manpage. My solution would be just to remove the reference to the manpage from the Makefile. Does this sound good? |

Hello, With the latest version of ffmpeg vlc will not compile against it as the avcodec that is included in ffmpeg is currently unsupported. Until there is a newer version of vlc the --disable-avcodec must be used so that it can be compiled. I think that it needs to be mentioned somewhere on the vlc page, as we do have ffmpeg as recommended and it only says to disable-avcodec if ffmpeg is not installed. |
