Since an xterm session is a non-login session by default, none of the
/etc/profile.d scripts will be sourced when starting an xterm session. Either
the sourcing of profile.d/* needs to be done in /etc/bashrc or ~/.bashrc, or
/etc/bashrc or ~/.bashrc need to source /etc/profile. However, these options may
have some negative impact that I'm not aware of. Further discussion may be
warranted. The original thread starts here:

The "xterm-title" script was wrong. Changed it to extra-paths.sh which it was really doing.
