Version incrememt to 3.0. This is a big deal, I've worked with samba(HEAD) for a while, it's got a lot of new features, ADS realm authentication, compatibility with win2003 default security settings, nt 4.0 domain controller trust relationships, etc. A lot of testing will be neccessary, I'm working on this now.

3.0.1pre3 was just releaseed, I'm waiting for 3.0.1 to update BLFS because their was a winbindd segfault problem with 3.0.0, and I don't want pre* stuff in the book. I've been testing the pre{1,2,3}'s, looks good.

Just an update on why the Samba section is taking so long. There is a bug in Samba 3.0.1, preventing domain logins. This is a show stopper, we're now waiting for 3.0.2. Version 3.0.2pre1 is expected imminently, hopefully 3.0.2 won't be far behind. I've tested the bugfix for the domain login problem with Samba(HEAD), works as advertised.
